CANBERRA, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Australia, a world leader in farming on arid lands, needs to devote some of that expertise to help struggling Afghanistan farmers, a new study said on Tuesday. A paper by the Australian Strategic policy Institute (ASPI) said agriculture remained the main source of income for most of Afghanistan's population. In Australia's area of operations in Oruzgan Province of Afghanistan, the economy is almost entirely dependent on agriculture based on surface water, ASPI analyst Raspal Khosa said in the study released on Tuesday.
